Herbalife Brand Ambassador - Somdev Devvarman

Currently ranked No. 79 in the world, India’s Somdev Devvarman has played in two finals in his career.
After growing up in Chennai, he attended college in the United States at the University of Virginia, winning back-to-back NCAA singles titles in 2007 and 2008. The win in 2007 came against Georgia’s John Isner.
He turned pro in 2008 and immediately won a Challenger event in Lexington. He went on to reach the quarterfinals at Washington D.C. and finished the year ranked 202nd.
Playing at home in Chennai to start off 2009, he reached the finals, losing to Marin Cilic. He had more success in Washington D.C., near his college playing days, reaching the fourth round thanks to a third-round upset of Cilic. He went on to reach the second round of the US Open and finished the year ranked No. 124.
He started 2010 slowly until reaching the round of 16 at Los Angeles, struggling to crack the Top 100 after his steady progression through the ranks the previous two seasons.
He kicked off 2011 by reaching the finals at Johannesburg, losing to Kevin Anderson in three sets.
